SHIPPING

What shipping do you offer?

UPS Ground, UPS 2 Day Air, UPS Overnight, and FedEx Cold Chain.

What’s the best shipping method for me?

Well, it depends on the date of your order, your shipping address, and current weather conditions. If you live in a state where the weather forecast indicates that temperatures will be at 85°F OR ABOVE or 32°F OR BELOW within the next week, then we suggest using UPS Overnight  or FedEx Cold Chain for the safest delivery of your wine.

What happens to my wine if the temperature is HOT?

If your wine is exposed to temperatures over 70°F for a few days, it can permanently taint the taste of your wine, making it taste “sour and jammy”, according to Wine Folly.

What happens to my wine if the temperature is COLD?

According to Wine Spectator, if your wine is exposed to freezing temperatures for a few days, the liquid inside the bottle will expand, causing the cork to pop out or potentially cracking the bottle. Wine should never be kept below a temperature of 25°F. The freezing temperature of wine is 15-20°F.

What is FedEx Cold Chain?

FedEx Cold Chain is a service only available for fulfillment on Mondays. When our fulfillment center receives an order with FedEx Cold Chain selected as the shipping method, they move the shipping date to the next available ship date, which is the next Monday (unless this is a holiday, then the next available ship date would be Tuesday). For example, if you place an order on Thursday 6/10, it will be fulfilled on Monday 6/14.

On Monday, the package is loaded on a truck that drives from our McMinnville fulfillment center in Oregon to our Napa warehouse in California. The Estimated Delivery Date is listed as “Pending” during this period. Tracking information becomes available once the package arrives in Napa, which takes up to five business days. For example, when the package leaves our fulfillment center McMinnville on Monday 6/14, it is projected to arrive at our warehouse in Napa on Friday 6/18.

When the package arrives at our Napa warehouse, the delivery is made to the destination address within the following week. For example, when your package arrives at the Napa warehouse on Friday 6/18, you can expect your package to be delivered within the timeframe of the following week between 6/20 and 6/26.

Use the tracking number provided in your shipping confirmation email to track your delivery or use the FedEx Delivery Manager to make modifications to your shipment such as rerouting your package or placing your package at a Hold at Location (HAL).

How is my order fulfilled/processed?

Orders must be submitted by 3:00 PM PST, Monday through Friday. Our fulfillment center is closed on the weekend. Your order will be processed the following business day (if the order information is correct and the inventory is currently in stock at our fulfillment center). For example, if you place an order on Wednesday, your order will be processed on Thursday. Once your order has been packed at our fulfillment center, it is then shipped using the shipping method you selected at checkout.

What else should I know about my order?

Your UPS shipment includes $100 of insurance.

Someone over the age of 21 must be present to sign for and accept your order at the shipping address provided. UPS will make three delivery attempts. After the third attempt, your order will be returned to our fulfillment warehouse. An additional shipping fee will be charged if you wish to reship your order.
